Emulgel 1% Gel
100 g of Voltaren Emulgel 1% agarose gel containing: 1.16 g of diclofenac diethylammonium, equivalent to 1 g of diclofenac sodium.
Diethylamine, Carbomers, Macrogol cetostearile ether, Caprilocaprato of cocoile, Isopropyl alcohol, Liquid paraffin, Fragrance, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water.
Local treatment of painful and inflammatory rheumatic or traumatic nature of the joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Known hypersensitivity to diclofenac, propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol or other constituents of the formulation. Voltaren Emulgel 1% gel is also contraindicated in patients allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs.
Applying Voltaren Emulgel 1% gel 3 or 4 times a day to the affected area, rubbing gently.
The amount to be applied depends on the size of the affected part. For example 2-4 g of Voltaren Emulgel 1% gel (amount of variable size between a cherry and a walnut) is sufficient to treat an area of 400-800 sq in. After application, rinse your hands, otherwise it will be also treated with the gel.
Warnings and Precautions
Warnings: the probability of appearance of other systemic side effects due to topical diclofenac is very poor compared to diclofenac taken orally.
