NAME
WATER FOR MONICO INJECTABLE PREPARATIONS - SMALL VOLUMES

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES
Sterile and non-pyrogenic water for injections. Examined in optimal conditions of visibility, it is clear, colorless and free from suspended particles. It must not contain antimicrobial agents or other additives.

EXCIPIENTS
The water for injections should not contain antimicrobial agents or other additives.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Preparation of injectable preparations.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
Water for injectable preparations represents the vehicle for various drugs, therefore for contraindications, please refer to section 4.3 of the Summary of Product Characteristics for the drug to be administered.

DOSAGE
Use for solutions, dilutions or suspensions of injectable medicaments or other sterile preparations. Choose the volume to be used based on the dilution needs of the injectable preparation.

STORAGE
No precautions. For storage conditions after dilution with the drug to be administered, please refer to section 6.4 of the Summary of Product Characteristics of the drug to be administered. KEEP THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT OUT OF THE REACH AND SIGHT OF CHILDREN.

WARNINGS
Use immediately after opening the container. The solution should be clear, colorless and free from visible particles. Any residue cannot be used. Continuous administration can cause water overload, congestion and reduce the concentration of electrolytes; continuous administration without the addition of potassium may cause hypokalaemia.

SIDE EFFECTS
Metabolism and nutrition disorders. Continuous administration can cause fluid overload, congestion and decreased electrolyte concentration. Water for injections is the vehicle for various drugs, therefore for undesirable effects, please refer to section 4.8 of the Summary of Product Characteristics for the drug to be administered.

OVERDOSE
Water for injections is the vehicle for various drugs, therefore for overdose, please refer to section 4.9 of the Summary of Product Characteristics for the drug you intend to administer.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
Water for injectable preparations is the vehicle for various drugs, therefore for the precautions to be taken in the event of pregnancy and lactation, please refer to section 4.6 of the Summary of Product Characteristics relating to the drug to be administered.
