What it is and what it is used for
WATER FOR INJECTION PREPARATIONS GALENICA SENESE contains sterile water not contaminated by microorganisms (apyrogenic), which is used to dissolve, dilute and convey other medicines to be administered by injection. WATER FOR INJECTION PREPARATIONS GALENICA SENESE is indicated for the preparation of medicinal solutions for injection.
What you need to know before taking the medicine
Do not use GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTABLE PREPARATIONS
in all those conditions for which the medicinal product(s) must not be used dissolved, diluted or conveyed in WATER FOR INJECTION PREPARATIONS GALENICA SENESE
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before using WATER FOR INJECTION PREPARATIONS GALENICA SENESE
Use this medicine immediately after opening the container, after making sure that the solution is clear, colorless and free of visible particles and in one go, discarding any residue.
If you continuously use GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTION PREPARATIONS you may experience excessive accumulation of water (water overload), congestion (congestive state), reduction in salt levels in the blood and, if you do not add potassium to the solution, decrease in potassium levels in the blood (hypokalemia) (See paragraph: “4. Possible side effects”).
Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following side effects may occur:
- excessive body accumulation of water (water overload);
- congestion (congestive state);
- reduction in body levels of salts (electrolytes).
These effects may occur if you continuously use GALENICA SENESE WATER FOR INJECTION PREPARATIONS.
WATER FOR INJECTION PREPARATIONS GALENICA SENESE can be used to dissolve, dilute and convey other medicines, therefore side effects may occur due to the use of these medicines.
