What is Magnesium Copper IUD 375?
It is a contraceptive intrauterine medical device, particularly suitable for counteracting the risk of unwanted pregnancies. The spiral represents for women a good long-term contraceptive solution, with a duration of nbsp.
Composition and properties
It is made of polyethylene and consists of two flexible arms, of which the longitudinal one is wrapped in a copper wire. The arms are designed to allow complete adhesion of the intrauterine device to the fundus of the uterus, thus avoiding widening it and touching the tubes. The contraceptive action is probably due to a sterile inflammatory response that occurs inside the uterus, due to the presence of a foreign body. In fact, white blood cells, prostaglandins and other various enzymes are seen to increase in the liquids present in the uterus and tubes. These changes affect the mobility of spermatozoa, effectively making fertilization impossible. The presence of copper guarantees a longer action than other reversible methods of contraception without copper.
