Description
Medical-surgical unit. Product based on thiamethoxam for the control of harmful flies for livestock environments. Intended for all types of farming: layers, turkeys, broilers, rabbits, pigs, dairy cows, calves, beef cattle. The mode of action is “attracts and kills” as the flies are attracted by the pheromone and sugar of the product and therefore quickly killed. The formulation is based on the knowledge of the biology of the fly and, in particular, of the feeding habits and distribution of the adult flies. Indeed, thanks to sugar, the formulation is particularly appreciated by flies, while the presence of tricosene, an attractive substance similar to pheromones, induces the aggregation of flies. AGITA 10 WG demonstrates significant efficacy on adult flies, mainly after oral ingestion and also with tarsal topical activity.
Thiamethoxam is an odorless crystalline compound of whitish color. Characterized by high solubility in water (about 4 g/l). Thiamethoxam is stable in solution at a maximum pH of 7. It has medium toxicity, is non-irritating to the skin and eyes and has no sensitizing properties. Thiamethoxam has no mutagenic or teratogenic properties. The active ingredient thiamethoxam is substantially non-toxic for birds, it is almost non-toxic for fish, crustaceans and molluscs, non-toxic for earthworms. However, thiamethoxam is toxic to aquatic and beneficial insects. Long-term studies do not demonstrate accumulation in soil. Under operational conditions, the active substance shows low leaching properties. Degradation occurs mainly by photolysis: thiamethoxam shows biodegradability in the soil with a half-life ranging from 7 days to 4 weeks.
Formulation: water-soluble granules to be applied, after dissolving in water, with a common brush or spray.
Composition: 100 g/kg thiamethoxam.
Appearance of granules: brown/beige.
Solution: milky suspension of beige colour.

How to use
Dilution: dissolve 100 g of product in 80 ml of water. Apply the product dispersed (by brush/roller) on 10 suspended panels of 20cm x 30cm. Hang 10 hanging panels in an area of ​​80-120m2. The application can be repeated every 6 weeks. The product may take 4 weeks to be effective. Only touch the area again after at least 6 weeks. Reapply if the powder has covered the treated area or if insects have consumed the bait.

The product can take 4 weeks to be effective. Retreat the area only after at least 6 weeks.
Reapply if the powder has coated the treated area or if insects have consumed the bait.

Do not apply on smooth metal or glazed surfaces from which AGITA 10 WG can slip away.
Strong exposure of treated surfaces to sunlight can reduce the effectiveness of AGITA 10 WG over time.
