From the union of a few simple ingredients, this dessert is born, with ancient roots and a wide geographical spread. There are several theories regarding its origin, some see it already present in ancient Rome, others attribute it to Arab origin and from here imported into the regions of Southern Italy around the 11th century, others still hypothesize its birth in France or in Spain.
Certainly, in the different variations, tastes and textures, it is widespread everywhere in Italy and known in various countries abroad where it is appreciated for its delicate sweetness and exquisite goodness. Aiello almond nougat resumes traditions, but offers a sweet with a soft consistency, made with only Italian almonds, honey and eggs of Italian origin, to underline the character of this prestigious dessert.
