ALKALOS® A is a food supplement based on calcium citrate and vitamin D3 indicated in all subjects who show deficiencies or increased needs of these nutrients that contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.
INGREDIENTS AND COMPOSITION
Calcium citrate
Calcium is a fundamental mineral for its many biological functions: it is the major constituent of bones and teeth, it is important for normal muscle function. The calcium of ALKALOS ® A in the form of Calcium Citrate represents a particularly bioavailable and therefore easily absorbable form of this mineral, and can also be taken on an empty stomach, thanks to the fact that the absorption of Calcium Citrate is independent of gastric acid secretion , which can be reduced in the elderly or in those taking gastric antisecretors.
Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 contributes to the normal absorption / utilization of calcium and phosphorus and, together with calcium, contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. Furthermore, it contributes to the physiological maintenance of the immune system and supports muscle function.
ALKALOS ® A is also available in practical, ready-to-use single-dose stick packs of oral suspension each containing 500 mg of Calcium (Calcium Citrate) and 2000 IU of Vitamin D.

METHOD OF USE AND DOSAGE
Unless otherwise indicated by the doctor, it is suggested to take 1-2 tablets a day, during or between meals, with a little water.
