Pesticide Pipettes Dogs

Spot-on pesticide for outdoor use suitable for dogs from 10 to 20 kg. Treatment for flea infestations only or in association with ticks and / or biting lice.

Active principles

1 pipette (1.34 ml) contains: Fipronil 134 mg.

Excipients

Butylhydroxyanisole (E320), Butylhydroxytoluene (E321) Polysorbate 80, Povidone K25, Dimethyl sulfoxide.

Indications

Treatment of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) And tick (Dermacentor reticulatus) infestations. For the treatment of infestations with Trichodectes canis, dog biting louse. Most lice are killed within two days. The insecticidal efficacy against new adult flea infestations persists for up to 8 weeks. The product has a persistent acaricidal efficacy up to 3 weeks against Ixodes ricinus and up to 4 weeks against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Dermacentor reticulatus. If ticks of some species (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) are present when applying the product, not all ticks could be killed within the first 48 hours. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergic Dermatitis (FAD), when this has been previously diagnosed by the veterinarian.

Dosage

For external use only. Administer by topical application on the skin according to body weight as follows: 1 pipette of 1.34 ml per dog weighing more than 10 kg and up to 20 kg. How to use: Remove the pipette from the triple layer bag. Hold the pipette upright, twist and remove the cap. Invert the cap and place it back on the pipette. Press and twist the cap to break the seal, then remove the cap from the pipette. Part the fur of the animal in the area between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the pipette tip on the skin and press the single-dose pipette several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin in one or two places. It is important to ensure that the product is applied to an area that the animal cannot lick and that the animals do not lick each other after the treatment. The hair must be separated and the product applied to the skin. At the site of application, transient changes of the coat may be observed (grouped / greasy hair and / or deposits on the hair). Treatment program: For optimal control of flea and / or tick infestations the treatment program can be based on the local epidemiological situation. In the absence of safety studies, the minimum interval between treatments is 4 weeks.

Side effects

If the animal licks itself, a short period of hypersalivation may be observed. Among extremely rare suspected adverse reactions, transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema) and general pruritus or alopecia have been reported after use. Hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms), vomiting or respiratory symptoms have been exceptionally observed after use.
