AQUACEL FOAM ADHESIVE FORMAT
Multi-layered adhesive dressing in hydrocellular polyurethane foam with an alveolar structure, accompanied by a thin layer of hydrofiber in contact with the wound bed, an external polyurethane film and an adhesive edge in silicone (hypoallergenic).
The mixed cell polyurethane layer is highly hydrophilic, absorbent, exudate retaining and breathable. The layer of Hydrofiber Technology in direct contact with the wound bed allows AQUACEL Foam to actively interact with the wound itself, instantly forming a soft gel that keeps the environment moist and retains exudate, promoting healing and reducing the risk of maceration of the perilesional skin.
The breathable external film promotes the transmission of vapors and gases and creates an impermeable barrier to fluids and bacteria that protects the wound from external contamination.
The silicone adhesive edge is extremely delicate to remove, thin and repositionable.
AQUACEL Foam is indicated for use in poorly to medium exuding wounds on:
Traumatic wounds: small abrasions, lacerations and small cuts.
Chronic wounds: leg ulcers (venous ulcers, arterial ulcers and ulcers of mixed etiology), diabetic ulcers, partial thickness and full thickness pressure ulcers.
Acute wounds: surgical wounds (left to heal by secondary intention) and areas of skin harvesting.
Oncological wounds: lesions with high exudate (skin mycotic tumors, skin metastases and sarcoma).
It can be used both as a primary and secondary dressing.
LATEX FREE - PHTHALATES FREE.
Instructions for use
Select a dressing of such shape and size that the central absorbent pad is wider than the wound area. Align the center of the dressing with the center of the wound and place the center pad of the dressing directly over the wound.
The dressing should be changed when clinically indicated or when saturated with exudate; in any case no longer than 7 days in situ.
AQUACEL Foam can be used as a primary dressing, or secondary in association with other products.
Components
Sterile dressing composed of: an external waterproof polyurethane film, a layer of hydrophilic polyurethane with a thickness of 2.5 mm with a density of around 300 g/m2 and a cell size of 200-300 microns, an absorbent layer of non-woven fibers fabrics composed of pure sodium carboxymethyl cellulose in gelling fibers (NaCMC) surrounded by a thin and delicate silicone adhesive edge.
Sterilization method: Sterilized with ethylene oxide.
Warnings
Texttexttext. Report any warnings/precautions for use here.
storage
Protect from light sources, store in a dry place at room temperature (10°C - 25°C).
