Before using the lancing device, follow these simple tips.
Before
- Wash your hands thoroughly with warm soapy water before testing
- Avoid using alcohol-based products to clean your hands
- Gently massage the finger from the base towards the tip to encourage the formation of the blood drop
- Use a new MICROLET ™ lancet for each test so that the needle is sharp and sterile
- Select the puncture depth that best suits your needs
During
- For convenience, prick the side rather than the tip of the finger
- Prick a different finger on each test - avoid the index finger and thumb
- Press the lancing device firmly against the area to be licked when sampling
After
- Use the appropriate eject button to remove the lancet
- Dispose of the MICROLET ™ lancet using a sharps container after use
