PT Test Strips

The main objective of test strips is to ensure the reliability of each PT / INR test by preventing contaminating the CoaguChek XS analyzer with the sample during the test.

The test strip technology ensures that the integrated quality controls automatically check internal system functions and each strip. Whenever possible, strips should remain in the vial with the cap closed to protect from moisture and contamination. Remove strips from one vial at a time, store at room temperature and out of direct sunlight.

The strips are stored in vials (small plastic bottles), each of which contains its own specific code chip. The code chip should be inserted into the CoaguChek meter and stored in place inside the meter until all strips from the same bottle are used.

• Testing requires only a single drop of capillary blood drawn from the fingertip within 1 min. get accurate INR results (venous blood is not needed).
• Evidence can be stored at room temperature. (Packed 24 tests per vial).
• Automatic control of all parts of the system.

Sensitivity to heparin : not at therapeutic levels, up to 0.8 IU / ml for UFH and 2 anti-Xa U / ml for LMWH

Quality control : On each strip, blood passes through the same channel

Stability : 21 months from production (+ 2 ° C to + 30 ° C)
