Aquacel ™ foam Non-Adhesive Convatec
AQUACEL ™ Foam is a multi-layered dressing in hydrocellular polyurethane foam with a honeycomb structure, accompanied by a thin layer of hydro-fiber in contact with the wound bed and by an external polyurethane film.
The layer of Hydrofiber® Technology in direct contact with the wound bed allows AQUACEL ™ Foam to actively interact with the wound itself by vertically absorbing the exudate, retaining it and instantly forming a soft gel that maintains the optimal moist environment and promotes healing by reducing the risk of maceration of the periwound skin.
The conformability of the gel to the wound bed avoids the presence of empty spaces responsible for bacterial proliferation.
The breathable external film favors the permeability of vapors and gases, but at the same time creates an impermeable barrier to fluids and bacteria, protecting the lesion from external contamination.
AQUACEL ™ Foam is the only dressing that combines the comfort and simplicity of a foam with the benefits of Hydrofiber® Technology.
AQUACEL ™ Foam is available in adhesive and non-adhesive format.
AQUACEL ™ Foam adhesive format has a silicone adhesive border which is extremely gentle to removal, thin and repositionable.
