What is D-mannose Cs for?
D-Mannose Cs is a food supplement useful in the treatment of urinary tract infections and cystitis.
D-Mannose Cs when used
D-Mannose is a simple, scarce sugar absorbed by the body in the hand. Taken orally, it is largely eliminated in the faeces and urine.
Recently, D-Mannose has been proposed as a natural remedy for cystitis.
Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder mucosa, most often caused by bacteria, in particular by anaerobic strains deriving from the intestinal bacterial flora. Among these, the most common and known is undoubtedly Escherichia Coli which is estimated to be responsible for 85% of infections.
Several studies have shown that pathogenic bacteria in the bladder are attracted to D-Mannose to which they attach via lectins (small tentacle-like glycoproteins).
In particular, this occurs in 85% of cystitis, ie when the infection is caused by Escherichia Coli. D-Mannose is also effective against: Klebsiella, Shigella, Pseudomonas and Salmonella.

How is D-Mannose Cs
It is recommended to take 6 capsules per day to be spread throughout the day for the first 3-4 days away from meals with little water. Then continue with 4 opercula per day. Once D-Mannose is taken, it is advisable not to urinate for at least 90 minutes so that it has time to act.
