Jutussin R8 Syrup is a homeopathic preparation. In the preparation there is an optimal concentration of various active ingredients with direct action on the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract.
How Jutussin R8 Syrup works
The syrup exerts a balsamic effect thanks to the phenol and turpentine content of the balsamic oils. The presence of homeopathic remedies, with an organospecific effect on the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract, stimulates the organic defenses.
The symptoms of the individual remedies are as follows:
- Ammonium causticum: cough, dyspnoea.
- Belladonna: fits of spasmodic, cavernous cough, dryness of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.
- Bryonia: dry irritative cough, stabbing chest pains.
- Chamomilla: sedative action.
- Coccus cacti: fits of cough with thick and viscous mucous sputum.
- Corallium rubrum: fits of violent, spasmodic cough accompanied by dyspnoic state and cyanosis.
- Cuprum aceticum: severe episodes of dyspnoising cough with a sense of suffocation and chest tightness. Bronchospasm with cyanosis, followed by a state of collapse.
- Drosera: frequent nocturnal attacks of cough, pharyngeal irritation and chest pains. Sputum with traces of blood. Gagging when coughing.
