The Oat Bran Bars with Chia Seeds and Chocolate are an unmissable snack, to be consumed at breakfast or at any time of the day, thanks to the practical single portions.
They are produced using Oat Bran, a completely healthy food rich in nutritional properties.
The bran is obtained by grinding oats on natural stone millstones and only with mechanical systems. Since the area of the caryopsis is nutritionally richer, we find in it a concentrate of vitamins, mineral salts, but in particular of fibers, mainly soluble (in particular beta glucans), able to increase the sense of satiety, lower cholesterol " bad ”(LDL), increase basal metabolic rate.
Furthermore, these substances are able to stimulate phagocytes, a type of white blood cells capable of inhibiting harmful viruses, bacteria and fungi.
Among the mineral salts present in large quantities there are phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and calcium. But also rich in manganese, iron, zinc and trace elements, such as selenium.
The vitamins, on the other hand, are choline, folic acid, thiamine and vitamins K and A.
Like oat bran, chia seeds also contain many minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium) and vitamins, especially vitamins B and vitamin C.
Chia seeds do not contain gluten, have a low glycemic index and a high percentage of protein (about 21%). At the same time they are able to absorb a quantity of water nine times higher than their weight and this makes them particularly useful for intestinal transit: by absorbing the water they create a gel that collects waste and toxins from the intestine and incorporates them in the stool thus counteracting irritable bowel syndrome and constipation.
They are naturally rich in Omega 3 and of all the sources of Omega 3 fatty acids, chia seeds have the highest concentration of alpha linolenic acid: 10 g. chia seeds contain 1.52g (8 times more Omega 3 than salmon!). Furthermore, the presence of dark chocolate, rich in flavonoids and polyphenols, two substances with powerful antioxidant properties, makes these energizing bars and a real greedy snack, which cannot be missing in your pantries.
