• Closed cell structure which allows it to adapt to the size and shape of any ear canal.

Intended use
These products are designed to be placed inside the ear canal to help reduce exposure from dangerous levels of noise and loud sounds.
Attention
• Always ensure that the complete product is:
- suitable for the application;
- worn correctly;
- worn for the entire exposure period;
- replaced when necessary.
• Some chemicals may affect this product.
• Contact 3M for further information.
• Corded earplugs should not be used if there is any possibility of the cord becoming entangled during use.
• Appropriate selection, training, use and correct maintenance are essential to ensure the user has adequate protection from noise.
• Failure to follow all instructions for use relating to this product for personal protection and/or failure to use this product for the entire exposure period may cause negative consequences for the user's health and cause serious or permanent disability.
• Read all instructions for use and keep them for continuous reference.
Wearing instruction
Before wearing the inserts, check the integrity of the product and make sure it is not damaged or torn.
If you notice any damage, immediately replace the product with a new pair.
Wash your hands before putting on the earplugs.
Always wear earplugs before entering a noise-prone area.
1. Roll the insert until you obtain a well compressed cylinder.
2. Grasp the earcup with the opposite hand and pull the top to open the ear canal.
3. Insert the tapered insert inside the ear canal, simultaneously pulling the auricle outwards and upwards.
Hold in place until the insert expands again.
Check for tightness
When the inserts are inserted correctly, your voice should sound muffled and the surrounding sounds muffled compared to before.
Check the fit often during the period of noise exposure.
If the inserts were to loosen, the actual protection offered against harmful noises could be significantly less.
To re-insert them, follow steps 1-3 above.
Note
The size and shape of the ear canal is unique to each person.
If you are unable to fit these earplugs correctly and are not comfortable with them, please contact your safety officer or 3M representative for further advice.
