Instant thickener for foods and drinks, to be used for the dietary management of people with dysphagia.
Instant thickener for foods and drinks based on modified corn starch.
Ensure Multi-thick can be mixed directly into cold and hot liquids and semi-solid meals. Neutral taste.
Instructions for use
Use the measuring cup provided to add the required amount of thickener.
A level measuring spoon contains 2.7 g of powder; one jar contains approximately 90 scoops.
The quantity of product required depends on the type of food or drink, its temperature and density. Pour the correct number of scoops of Ensure® Multi-thick into a dry container. Add 200 ml of liquid. Mix well for 20 seconds until dissolved.
Leave to rest before consumption: 1 minute for water and tea, 3 minutes for orange juice, 10 minutes for milk.
Number of scoops to add to 200 ml to reach the IDDSI Framework level:
1 Slightly thick – n° of measuring spoons 2-3.
2 Moderately thick – number of scoops 3-4.
3 Denso – 4 measuring spoons.
4 Very thick – 5 measuring spoons.
