EVANTE is an emergency oral contraceptive that can be used on an occasional basis to avoid unwanted pregnancy after unprotected sexual intercourse or after failure of a contraceptive method (the condom has broken or slipped off or you forgot to take the pill ).
The active ingredient is Ulipristal acetate, a synthetic selective modulator of the progesterone receptor.
Taken orally it is able to interact with the activity of the hormone thus delaying ovulation

What is EVANTE for?

EVANTE is an emergency contraceptive method intended only for occasional use in case of unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure.

How and when is EVANTE used?

It is recommended to take 1 tablet orally as soon as possible and in any case no later than 5 days (120 hours) after unprotected sexual intercourse or contraceptive failure.
The drug can be taken at any time of the day (before or after a meal) and at any time of the menstrual cycle.

If you VOMIT within 3 hours of taking the tablet, it is recommended that you take another tablet as soon as possible.

It is intended for occasional use only. It should never replace the use of a regular method of birth control such as the pill, ring or coil.

It is important to point out

UNSECURED SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP AFTER TAKING THE TAB , the drug will not be able to prevent the onset of pregnancy. For this reason, in the period of time between taking the tablet and until the next menstruation, you must always use condoms for each sexual intercourse.

A PREGNANCY TEST MUST BE PERFORMED in case the menstrual cycle begins after more than 7 days of delay.
After taking the tablet it is normal for subsequent menstruation to be delayed by a few days but if your period is delayed for a long time or if you experience any discomfort or unusual symptoms, a pregnancy test should be performed to eliminate the possibility of pregnancy.
