It contains a patented liquid metal composed of gallium, indium and tin (called galinstan), totally non-toxic and harmless to the environment.
The thermometer is equipped with a blast chiller which allows you to easily lower the column.

Clean and sanitize after use. Introduce the thermometer into the blast chiller. Make sure the thermometer is secured in the two holders. Hold the blast chiller still by holding the lever between your thumb and forefinger. Shake the thermometer vigorously with the tip pointing downwards, until the liquid is brought back below 36 °C.
Warnings
Keep out of reach of children.
Fragile: glass thermometer, use only if perfectly intact.
