Fevralt BB
Oral suspension
Fevralt is for oral use and to be taken for a short time only. Undesirable effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms (see section 4.4). Shake well before use. For fever and pain of various kinds: Fevralt can be given to infants from 3 months of age or weighing more than 5 kg. The usual daily dose is 20-30 mg / kg of body weight divided into 3-4 divided doses to be administered with the enclosed measuring spoon of 2.5 ml and 5 ml (see the following table): normally the dose should be administered every 6- About 8 hours. This time can be reduced to 4 hours, if necessary, without exceeding the maximum daily dose of 30 mg / kg body weight.

Fevralt is not recommended for infants aged 3 to 6 months for more than 24 hours. Fevralt is not recommended in infants / children aged 6 months and over for more than 3 days. If symptoms persist for a longer period, the doctor should be consulted. For post-vaccination fever: Fevralt can only be used in infants less than 6 months of age after careful medical evaluation. The usual dose is 2.5 ml corresponding to 50 mg. Only if necessary, another 2.5 ml corresponding to 50 mg can be administered 6 hours later. However, do not administer more than 5 ml, corresponding to 100 mg, in 24 hours. If the fever persists after the second dose, the doctor should be consulted. For the symptomatic treatment of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: The usual daily dose is from 30 to 40 mg / kg divided into 3-4 doses.
