With analgesic action
The most acute and intense sore throat is recognized by the very red throat, which causes pain when swallowing. This aggravated inflammatory stage requires treatment that can relieve the painful sensation and fight inflammation quickly.
WHAT IS FROBENGOLMED AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
FrobenGolmed is a spray for the oral mucosa that acts in a targeted manner, on the affected area, with a double analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Its action is rapid but prolonged over time and allows to reduce the most acute symptoms and pain when swallowing.
FrobenGolmed contains the active substance flurbiprofen. Flurbiprofen belongs to a family of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) which work by changing the body's response to pain, swelling and fever.
FrobenGolmed is indicated to relieve sore throat symptoms such as sore throat, pain, difficulty swallowing and swelling for a short-term treatment.
WHEN FROBENGOLMED SHOULD NOT BE USED
If you are allergic to flurbiprofen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs), aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6 of the package leaflet.
If you have had previous allergic reactions after taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid); eg, asthma, wheezing, itching, runny nose, rash or swelling.
If you have or have ever had one or more episodes of stomach ulcer or bleeding or intestinal ulcer.
If you have had severe colitis (inflammation of the gut).
If you have ever had clotting or bleeding problems after taking NSAIDs.
If you are in the last three months of pregnancy.
If you have severe heart failure, severe kidney failure or severe liver failure.
HOW TO TAKE FROBENGOLMED
Always take this medicine exactly as stated in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Recommended dose for adults aged 18 years and over
3 sprays (one dose) delivered to the back of the throat every 3-6 hours as needed. Do not take more than 5 doses in any 24 hour period.
Use in children and adolescents
Do not use this medicine in children or adolescents under 18 years of age. For oral mucosa only.
Spray only towards the back of the throat.
Do not inhale while dispensing.
Do not take more than 5 doses (15 sprays) in 24 hours.
FrobenGolmed is only indicated for short-term treatments.
