Isosource® Protein Fiber Nestlé Health Science - Food For Special Medical Purposes

Isosource® Protein Fiber is a nutritionally complete, moderately high-calorie, high-protein and fiber-enriched food for special medical purposes. Indicated for enteral or oral nutrition of adults in case of hypercatabolism, malnutrition or risk of malnutrition, high protein requirements and where a better intestinal function is required.

Indications

Isosource® Protein Fiber contains

• IS50 ™ Fiber, a new blend specifically formulated to improve intestinal physiological function by reducing constipation, in line with ESPEN recommendations. The new fiber blend (IS50 ™) is made up of 50% soluble fibers with prebiotic activity and 50% insoluble fibers.
• Highly concentrated milk proteins, with a high biological value, providing all the essential amino acids
• Easily digestible lipids and omega 3

Isosource® Protein Fiber is indicated for enteral or oral nutrition of patients

• With high protein requirement
• With proteus / caloric malnutrition
• Non-critical hypercatabolic
• Neoplastic

Doses and preparation

As the only source of nourishment: 1,500 ml (1,995 Kcal).

As a supplement to the diet: 500-1,000 ml (665-1,330 Kcal) or according to medical prescription.

Administration should be gradual until the prescribed dose is reached.

Usage note: shake well before use.

Allergens

Gluten free. Clinically irrelevant lactose.
Contains milk, fish.

Warnings

To be used under medical supervision.
It can be used from 3 years onwards.
Not for parenteral use.

Format

Isosource® Protein Fiber is packaged in sterile 500ml SmartFlex ™ bottles with ENPlus attachment.

Isosource® Protein Fiber in the unopened package can be stored at room temperature in a dry place away from heat sources. The opened bottle, connected to the universal adapter, must be used within 24 hours. The opened bottle must be closed again, stored in the refrigerator and used within 24 hours.
