Lesstat® Forte , The new approach to treating hypercholesterolemia in a controlled release system.

Lesstat® Forte , supplement based on ZEACOLIN COMPLEX® contains a system of substances (Monacolin K - 10 mg, Xanthan Gum, Chitosan, Lycopene) which through a synergistic action intervene in:

• Reduction of cholesterol synthesis.
• Reduction of the absorption of dietary lipids
• Reduction of LDL oxidation

Lesstat® Forte inhibits the activity of HMG-CoA reductase and determines a marked reduction in the synthesis of cholesterol, with significantly greater effects than statins and other active supplements in the control of blood lipid levels.

Lesstat® Forte - Why it works!

It is known that the maximum synthesis of cholesterol occurs in the morning, that is 12 hours after dinner, a fact that must be taken into account for the selection not only of the timing of administration of monacolin K but also of its release profile.

The aim of a recently published study on the activities of the ZEACOLIN COMPLEX (Consumi M et al. Adv Polym Technol. 2018; 00: 1-10 Wiley Library, publ. 12 March 2018 DOI 10,1002 / adv 21965) was to develop a physical matrix capable of delivering a monacolin K release peak or delayed or sustained release by modifying the relative amounts of chitosan and xanthan gum.

In particular, starting from the commercial formulation (Lesstat®, chitosan-xanthan gum ratio 20:80), different ratios of the polymers were tested in order to change the release profile from prolonged to peak release or delayed release profile obtaining the new formulation of Lesstat® Forte.

Ingredients :
Thickener: Xanthan gum, Bulking agent: Microcrystalline cellulose, Red rice fermented with Monascus purpureus tit. 5% in total monacolin K (equal to 10 mg monacolin K / tablet), Chitosan tit. 90% (from the shell of crabs and shrimps), Bulking agent: Dibasic calcium phosphate, Lycopene from tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L., fruit) tit. 5% (lycopene, pea starch, stabilizers: sodium alginate, acacia gum), protected Vitamin C tit. 97.5% (ascorbic acid, glazing agent: ethylcellulose), Anti-caking agent: Magnesium stearate, Vitamin E acetate lit. 50% (tocopheryl acetate, corn starch, silicon dioxide), Anti-caking agents: Silicon dioxide, Talc.

How to use:
1 tablet a day in the evening after dinner. Take regularly for at least 3-4 months. The administration is repeatable even for very long periods of time.
