The surgical mask is normally used to avoid the transmission of infectious agents during surgical procedures in operating rooms and other medical activities. The main intended use of medical face masks is to protect against infectious agents to reduce the risk of spreading infections, particularly in epidemic or pandemic situations.

Class I medical device, non-invasive, single-use, non-sterile, made of three layers of non-woven fabric with high filtering efficiency. The different layers are held together through an electro-welding process, which provides a high level of ergonomics to the users. Elastic ear laces ensure a perfect fit and high comfort in all conditions of use. The mask is equipped with a conformable nose clip that allows an excellent facial adherence for each physiognomy.

Surgical Mask 1 is Type I and complies with the UNI EN 14683: 2019 standard, with a filtration power (BFE) higher than the values set by the standard. Tests carried out on Surgical Mask 1 have demonstrated compliance with the applicable points of the following standards: EN ISO 10993-1: 2009, EN ISO 11737-1: 2018 (Evaluation of the microbiological load - bioburden - and verification for the count and microbial characterization of the population of viable microorganisms on or in a medical device).
