Composition

100 g of cream contain: Active ingredient: Hydrocortisone acetate 500 mg

Excipients

100 g of cream contain: ethylene glycol palmito stearate and 20 g polyethylene glycol; glycerides polyoxyothylenated glycosylated g 3; 3 g vaseline oil; butylhydroxyanisole 0.008 g; benzoic acid g 0.200, purified water qs g 100.

Therapeutic indications

Symptomatic treatment of itching, eczema, insect bites, erythema and localized burns.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the product and to other corticosteroids. The use of hydrocortisone is contraindicated in the case of viral, bacterial and fungal diseases. Not to be used in vulvar itching, if associated with vaginal discharge. Do not use in children under two years of age and pregnant, except by prescription and under medical supervision.

Dosage

Spread the cream in a small quantity on the affected part and rub lightly, twice a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose. In the event that an occlusive bandage is to be used, the area to be treated must be thoroughly cleaned before each application in order not to favor the onset of infections.

Warnings and Precautions

For external use only. Do not apply on large surfaces. In infants and children, the diaper can act as an occlusive bandage, increasing the absorption of the product. The cream is not suitable for ophthalmology, nor should it be applied in the periocular areas. Do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results or if the condition worsens, stop applications and consult a doctor. The use, especially prolonged, of products for topical use can give rise to phenomena of irritation or sensitization. In this case, stop the treatment and consult your doctor in order to establish a suitable therapy. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Interactions

There are no known incompatibilities and interactions with other drugs used topically.

Side effects

If the product, contrary to what is prescribed, is used on large surfaces and for long periods of time and at high doses, more serious signs of local intolerance or signs and symptoms of systemic absorption may occur. Sometimes they can occur locally: burning sensation, irritation, dry skin, folliculitis, acne eruptions, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation, skin atrophy.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

In pregnant and lactating women, the product should be administered only in case of real need and under direct medical supervision.
