Neoxene Ovuli what it is used for

These eggs are specific for the disinfection of the vaginal mucosa when there are cases of irritation or infection in the vaginal area.

Active ingredients for Neoxene

Each egg contains: Active ingredient: 10 mg CHLOREXIDINE DIGLUCONATE. Excipients: Propylparahydroxybenzoate, Ethylparahydroxybenzoate For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1

Excipients Contained in Neoxene

Glycerin, Gelatin, Propylparahydroxybenzoate, Ethylparahydroxybenzoate, Patent Blue (E 131) Purified water.

Contraindications for using Neoxene

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

How Neoxene Ovuli is used

The dosage prescribed for this product is

One, maximum two eggs per day for a maximum duration of ten consecutive days. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE

Neoxene Warnings And Precautions

Do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor. The accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences. The prolonged use of products for topical use can give rise to sensitization phenomena; in this case, stop the treatment and consult the doctor to establish a suitable therapy. Neoxene is for vaginal use only and should not be ingested. After applying Neoxene it is recommended to wash your hands, in case of contact with the eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water. This medicinal product contains Propylparahydroxybenzoate, Ethylparahydroxybenzoate as excipients therefore may be mildly irritating to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Interactions

Avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and detergents.

Unwanted Effects with the use of Neoxene

In some cases, intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur, however without consequences, which does not require modification of the treatment. A few rare cases of idiosyncrasy have been reported with chlorhexidine.
