Anti-parasitic collar for large dogs (length 65 cm)
Treatment of flea infestations in cats and flea and tick infestations in dogs. Protects for 4 months. It acts against the ectoparasites of dogs and cats. Dog: fleas (Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis), ticks (Ixodes spp. And in particular towards Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus spp. And in particular towards Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Dermacentor variabilis). Cat: fleas (Ctenocephalides felis).
Contraindications
Do not use on lactating or gestating animals. Do not use on puppies younger than 5 months. Do not use on sick, convalescent or animals with extensive skin lesions. Some animals may be sensitive to the collar so it is advisable to check the animal's neck in the first few days. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Do not use simultaneously with other pesticides.
Side effects
Allergic events can occur in predisposed subjects. If a skin reaction appears due to the use of the product, it is advisable to stop the treatment. In case of adverse reactions could occur: irritation / itching of the skin, excess salivation, respiratory secretions, tremors, convulsions and fasciculations. In the first days of use, check the animal's neck, in case of adverse reactions consult a veterinarian showing him the label. If serious adverse reactions or other reactions not mentioned in this leaflet occur, please inform your veterinarian.
Use during pregnancy, lactation or lay
Do not use on pregnant or lactating females.
Interaction with other veterinary medicinal products and other forms of interaction
There are no known drug interactions of the product, it is however advisable not to use it simultaneously with other organophosphorus or carbamates or other pesticides while the collar is worn and within 14 days after removal.
Posology and route of administration

The application of a 65 cm collar to a medium to large / large breed dog (> 20-45 kg) is equivalent to a dosage of 2.20-1.03 mg diazinone / kg bodyweight / day.
The collar guarantees protection for up to 4 months. Open the bag and fasten the collar to the animal's neck (taking into account the growth), cut the excess part taking care to throw it into the appropriate collection and disposal systems for unused or expired veterinary medicines. In all subjects, within a few hours of application, the complete disappearance of fleas and ticks that die by falling to the ground spontaneously or after careful brushing. The presence of the collar avoids reinfestation by parasites. The collar, due to the particular characteristics of the active principle, is not afraid of humidity or loses activity in water or in the rain.
Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes) if necessary
If skin irritation occurs, remove the collar immediately. The product is intended for external use only. Do not exceed the recommended dose. It is necessary to continuously check the integrity of the collar throughout the period of stay in contact with the animal. Use the product according to the instructions for use indicated. If prolonged use of topical products can cause sensitization phenomena, therefore remove the collar at the first signs of irritation or adverse reactions and consult your veterinarian. A collar that is too tight can cause skin irritation. In this case it must be temporarily removed. In highly sensitive animals, skin irritation / itching may occur, particularly in the first few days following the application of the collar. Do not use the product in excessive or improper quantities. Avoid that the product can be inhaled or ingested by animals. To reduce re-infestation, it is recommended to treat all dogs and cats living in the home and the additional use of an appropriate environmental treatment (e.g. carpets, sofas, etc.) against adult fleas and / or their stages of development is recommended. development. Special precautions for the person administering the product: use a pair of gloves for applying the product. Avoid ingesting the product during treatment. Do not contaminate food, feed and drink or containers intended to contain them during use. After use, rinse your hands with soap and running water. The product is toxic by ingestion, inhalation and skin contact. In case of discomfort or accidental ingestion, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or package leaflet to the physician. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with water or physiological solution. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using the product. Keep the package tightly closed until use. People with known hypersensitivity to diazinone and excipients should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product.
