Wound Gel X

High viscosity gel for acute, chronic injuries and burns

The accentuated density of the gel formulation allows for high stability in the wound bed. Prontosan® Gel X also contributes to the hydration of the necrotic tissue and fibrin present in the wound bed, facilitating the autolytic processes.

Chronic lesions often have a superficial coating consisting of residues of exudate, cells coming from tissue desquamation, fibrin shoots, necrotic tissue and bacterial biofilm, which concur to hinder the process of fibroblastic proliferation and therefore cause a delay, even considerable, of the tissue repair processes.

When these structures are present in fair quantities, Prontosan® Wound Gel X is indicated.
Its particular density allows a prolonged stay on the wound bed.

Prontosan® Wound Gel X is particularly indicated in case of burns, superficial lesions and cavity lesions.
Prontosan® Wound Gel X helps to minimize trauma to dressing changes by reducing any damage to the newly formed granulation tissue and reducing pain.
When these structures are present instead in a light layer on the wound bed, Prontosan® solution can be used at each dressing change.

Prontosan® Wound Gel X is contained in a 250 g polypropylene tube. It does not contain propellant gas and is not under pressure.
