Preparations for the pharyngeal cavity, antiseptics.

ACTIVE PRINCIPLES

3 mg of benzydamine hydrochloride; 1 mg of cetylpyridinium chloride.

EXCIPIENTS

Peppermint oil; levomenthol; sucralose (E955); citric acid, anhydrous (E330); isomalt (E953); lemon flavoring, containing butylated hydroxyanisole (E320); elderflower flavoring, containing propylene glycol (E1520); curcumin (E100), containing sodium benzoate (E211); cupric complexes of chlorophyll and chlorophyllin (E141), containing propylene glycol (E1520).

INDICATIONS

Adults, adolescents and children over 6 years of age: anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antiseptic treatment for irritation of the throat, mouth and gums, gingivitis and pharyngitis.

CONTRAINDICATIONS / SECONDARY EFFECT

Hypersensitivity 'to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients. Children under the age of 6.

DOSAGE

Adults: the recommended dose is 3-4 tablets per day. The lozenge should be slowly dissolved in the mouth every 3-6 hours. Elderly patients: the recommended dose is the same as for adults. Pediatric population. Adolescents over 12 years of age: the recommended dose is 3-4 tablets per day. The lozenge should be slowly dissolved in the mouth every 3-6 hours. Children from 6 to 12 years of age: the recommended dose is 3 tablets per day. The lozenge should be slowly dissolved in the mouth every 3-6 hours. It can be used in this age group only on medical advice. Children under 6 years: the product is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age. It is recommended not to use the product immediately before or after brushing your teeth. Do not exceed the recommended dose. The product can be used up to 7 days. The lozenge should be slowly dissolved in the mouth every 3-6 hours.

STORAGE

Store in the original package to protect from light. This medicinal product does not require any special temperature storage conditions.

WARNINGS

Do not use for more than 7 days. If no appreciable results are seen after 3 days, it is recommended to consult your doctor. The use above all of topical preparations, especially for a long period of time, can give rise to sensitization phenomena, in which case it is necessary to suspend the treatment and consult the doctor to establish a suitable therapy. Do not use together with anionic compounds, such as those present for example in toothpastes, therefore it is recommended not to use the product immediately before or after brushing your teeth. The use of benzydamine is not recommended in patients with hypersensitivity to salicylates (eg acetylsalicylic acid and salicylic acid) or other NSAIDs. Bronchospasm may worsen in patients with or with a previous history of bronchial asthma. Care should be taken in these patients. Contains isomalt (E953). Patients with a variety of hereditary problems of fructose intolerance should not take this medicine. Contains sodium benzoate (E211). Slightly irritating to skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

INTERACTIONS

Do not use simultaneously with other antiseptics. The tablets should not be taken with milk as milk reduces the antimicrobial efficacy of cetylpyridinium chloride.

SIDE EFFECTS

Frequency of adverse reactions: very common (> = 1/10); common (> = 1/100, <1/10); uncommon (> = 1 / 1,000, <1/100); rare (> = 1 / 10,000, <1 / 1,000); very rare (<1 / 10,000); not known. Disorders of the immune system. Rare: hypersensitivity reaction. Nervous system disorders. Not known: burning mucosa. Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders. Rare: bronchospasm. Gastrointestinal disorders. Very rare: irritation of the oral mucosa, burning sensation in the mouth; not known: oral mucosal anesthesia. Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders. Rare: urticaria, photosensitivity. Report any suspected adverse reactions via the national reporting system.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING

There are no or limited data from the use of benzydamine hydrochloride and cetylpyridinium chloride in pregnant women. Not recommended during pregnancy. It is unknown whether benzydamine hydrochloride / metabolites are excreted in human milk. A risk to newborns cannot be excluded. A decision must be made whether to discontinue breast-feeding or to discontinue / abstain from therapy taking into account the benefit of breast-feeding for the child and the benefit of therapy for the woman.
