STREPTOSIL WITH NEOMYCIN

Active principles
10 g of powder contain: active ingredients: sulfatiazole 9.95 g, neomycin sulphate 0.05 g. 20 g of ointment contain: active ingredients: sulfatiazole 0.4 g, neomycin sulfate 0.1 g.

Excipients
Skin powder: none. Ointment: Vaseline oil, white petroleum jelly, white wax.

Contraindications
Known or suspected hypersensitivity to sulfonamides and neomycin. Do not use in ear canal infections or near the eyes.

Dosage
Skin powder Lift the colored cap, press rhythmically and thoroughly the two sides of the bottle holding it horizontally or slightly oblique; lightly sprinkle the affected area with the powder and cover with sterile gauze; renew the application twice a day. It is recommended to practice a light sprinkling, using the minimum necessary of powder to avoid the formation of crusts and to allow a rapid solubilization and diffusion of the components. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Ointment Apply a thin layer of ointment 2-3 times a day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Warnings and Precautions
Because of the potential risk of kidney and eye injury from neomycin, prolonged use or use of high quantities of the product on areas of extensive ulcerated skin, such as skin infections secondary to extensive burns, trophic ulcers, should be avoided. in all conditions in which absorption of neomycin is possible. The use, especially if prolonged, of products for topical use, can give rise to sensitization phenomena. After a short period of treatment without noticeable results, consult your doctor. In early childhood, the product should be administered in cases of real need, under the direct supervision of the doctor. KEEP THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT OUT OF THE REACH AND SIGHT OF CHILDREN

None.

Side effects
Local or systemic manifestations of hypersensitivity to the components of the specialty are possible (redness, swelling, itching). Since these manifestations can worsen, it is necessary to interrupt the treatment at their first appearance and consult the doctor for an appropriate therapy. As with any chemotherapy, prolonged use can cause superinfection with resistant microorganisms, including fungi. If this happens the treatment should be stopped and the doctor consulted.

Overdose
There are no known cases of overdose. Any toxic phenomena should be traced back to the components sulfatiazole and neomycin. If overdose is suspected, medical attention should be sought immediately.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
In pregnant women, the product should be administered in cases of real need, under the direct supervision of the doctor.
