Thealoz Duo Théa Ophthalmic Solution
THEALOZ DUO contains a solution to be administered by instillation into the eye or into contact lenses. THEALOZ DUO can be used in case of discomfort, burning or irritation of the eyes. These symptoms can be caused by external factors such as wind, smoke, pollution, dust, exposure to the sun or cold, dry heat, air conditioning, air travel, long work in front of the computer screen, etc. THEALOZ DUO does not contain preservatives and offers optimal respect for ocular tissues: for this reason it can also be used by contact lens wearers, regardless of the type of lens. It gives quick relief, which lasts all day.
Composition
Trehalose 3 g, Sodium hyaluronate 0.15 g, Sodium chloride, Trometamol, Hydrochloric acid, 100 ml Water for injections.
Property
THEALOZ DUO is a hypotonic aqueous ophthalmic solution with neutral pH, without preservatives. The main ingredients are trehalose, a disaccharide, and sodium hyaluronate, a polysaccharide. The chemical-physical characteristics of trehalose give the product protective, antioxidant and moisturizing properties. Trehalose also has protective and stabilizing properties of cell membranes, preventing protein denaturation and lipid degradation, as well as antioxidant properties. Sodium hyaluronate is a polysaccharide with water retention properties. The remarkable water retention properties offer high hydration and lubrication of the corneal surface. Furthermore, the bio-adhesive characteristics allow a high adhesion of the product to the ocular surface, giving relief for a long time and shortening the healing times of the corneal epithelium.
Thanks to the combination of Trehalose and sodium hyaluronate, THEALOZ DUO protects, hydrates and lubricates the ocular surface for a long time, for rapid comfort. THEALOZ DUO does not contain preservatives thanks to the ABAK multidose vial. This new device allows the administration of eye drops through a 0.2 μm filter membrane, which prevents bacterial contamination of the solution. The solution therefore remains protected and can be used for up to 12 weeks after opening.
Warnings
- Do not use in case of allergy to one of the components.
- Do not touch the surface of the eye with the tip of the vial.
- Do not inject and do not swallow.
- Do not use the product if the protective ring is damaged.

Interactions
In case of application of two different eye products, an interval of at least 10 minutes is recommended.
How to use
- Wash your hands well before use.
- Avoid touching your eyes or eyelids with the tip of the vial, especially if you think you have an eye infection.
- Instill a drop into the lower conjunctival sac by gently pulling the lower eyelid down and looking up.
- Put the cap back on after use.
Dosage
1 drop in each eye, 4-6 times a day. THEALOZ DUO can also be used when wearing contact lenses.
Unwanted side effects
Rare possibility of mild eye irritation.
Product conservation
After opening, do not keep the vial for more than 3 months. Store the product at a temperature below 25 ° C.
